The story behind it

Not all smoothies are created equal. A few amazing smoothies require a great deal of patience before they can be enjoyed, but oh are they worth it!

This breakfast smoothie is the bee’s knees of breakfast smoothies! Filled with chia seeds and oats, it’s incredibly filling and rich in fiber.

The flavor of apple, cinnamon, vanilla and dates is one of the richest types of sweet enjoyable, with a taste that lingers in all the right ways!

Ingredients

½ cup (40 g) rolled oats**
1 Tbsp (7 g) chia seeds
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1 medium apple, peeled and cored (~120 g)
2 Medjool dates, pitted (30 g)
1 cup (240 ml) unsweetened vanilla almond milk***

Why is it so good for you

Speaking of cinnamon; this spice is actually incredibly healthy. It provides a massive boost to your metabolism. Speeding it up, combined with the fiber in oats you’ll have a healthy and slim gut.

Basically; these ingredients blend to prevent problems from arising, and to help mitigate existing ones.

While this takes a bit of prep, it is one of my go-to breakfasts in the winter

Preparation

The night before, add all the ingredients to the bowl of your blender and give it a stir to ensure that everything is well combined. Cover and place in the fridge for at least 3 hours, preferably overnight.

The next morning, blend until a smooth and creamy consistency is reached, adding more milk if the smoothie is too thick.
