The story behind it

Now this is a smoothie that I absolutely love on a chill or windy summer night. Sitting outside on my balcony and watching the wind. It’s packed with flavors that we usually enjoy warm, but instead is refreshingly cold.

There’s something I love about pumpkins beyond their flavor, and that is how they remind me of my favorite holiday. Halloween!

Pumpkin anything always brings me back to windy autumn nights on the front porch, waiting for passersby to ask for candy. We would eat pumpkin pie and drink hot chocolate with a throw blanket and spend the whole night out on that porch.

Ingredients

1/2 cup pure pumpkin puree
1 banana
1/4 cup almond or coconut milk
4 to 5 ice cubes
1/4 tsp. pumpkin pie spice

This isn’t all about nostalgia though. Pumpkin is actually quite good for you. It’s great for improving your vision, as well as making you feel fuller and best of all, helps provide a good night sleep.

Perfect for some rest and relaxation.

Preparation

Place everything in the blender, blend till smooth.
Garnish with a pinch of cinnamon.
