The story behind it

Smoothies are limitless, and some combinations just can’t be described.
But this green smoothie masquerading in pink, is one of those indescribable delights that has a flavor you’ll want to share.

Every time I make it people are always surprised. I offer a green smoothie and present them with this. Their reactions alone are a satisfying reason to keep making them!

Individually the apple and maple would make the texture either too syrupy or too coarse. Together they turn this into a smooth blend. The rest of the ingredients create a flavor you have to try to understand.

Ingredients

1 1/2 oz swiss chard
1 apple – chopped
3 oz cranberries
1 tbsp maple syrup
3 tbsp walnuts
1 tsp lucuma
1 cup water
1 cup ice
