The story behind it

Sometimes we need a smoothie. One to make us feel stuffed enough to get through early morning hunger, or to keep us fasted through the night.

Other times however, we want something airy that just makes us feel like we’re on cloud 9. That’s what this pom-yogurt shake is all about.

So how does it work? Pomegranate juice and yogurt, that’s the secret behind the texture. The pom juice balances the heaviness of the bananas and ice, while also adding a counter flavor.
Meanwhile the yogurt helps breakdown the connectedness of the ice and banana, turning the blend into something much more froffy.

Ingredients

1 cup crushed ice
2 bananas , sliced
1/2 cup nonfat plain yogurt
1/2 cup pomegranate juice
2 tablespoons honey
3 tablespoons pomegranate seeds for garnish
