The story behind it

Here’s a four ingredient vegan recipe that takes no time to make, but is worth taking your sweet time to enjoy!

So what’s going on here? This recipe is one of many variations on the classic Strawberry Banana Smoothie. But, this time those wonderful flavors take a backseat to the wonderfully nutty flavor of Peanut Butter!

By adding PB to the mix, you change it from a smooth and sweet flavor, to a more rich & syrupy mix of sweet and salt. A blend that I personally find to be extremely satisfying.

Ingredients

3 medium bananas, sliced and frozen
1 cup unsweetened almond milk
2 cups frozen strawberries
¼ cup unsalted, natural peanut butter

Why is it so good for you

This has the added benefit of being much healthier than a traditional strawberry banana smoothie. By adding in peanut butter you, we’re adding in healthy fats & protein.

We also swap out the traditional milk for almond milk. Which is great for your bone, while also doing wonders for your skin. Combined with the antioxidants in the fruits, this mixture is amazing at clearing your pores.

So that’s flavor, an excuse to eat peanut butter and a great smoothie to start a busy day! What could be better?

Preparation

place everything in the blender, blend till smooth.
Garnish with strawberries
