Vegan Copycat Nutella Healthy Smoothie

The story behind it

Everyone loves Nutella. However, more and more people are vegan; you might be, and if not you, one of your friends or family likely is.

Though just because someone is vegan, doesn’t mean they shouldn’t get to enjoy the wonderfully nutty flavor of Nutella in their smoothies.

With that thought in mind, we put together our own Nutella blend for the animal lovers in the audience. We promise it has the same great taste!

Ingredients

¼ cup roasted unsalted hazelnuts, a few more hazelnuts as garnish
1 cup ripe pear chopped with the skin on from 2 small or 1 large pear
2 Medjool dates pitted
2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract
1 ½ cups coconut water
2 cups ice
handful of seasonal fruit, as garnish

Why is it so good for you

Since it is a custom mix though, we’ve added in some nutritional benefits you won’t find in regular Nutella.

This mix combines all the non-dairy ingredients of Nutella into a blend. With a helping of coconut water which gives us that smoothie texture we’re looking for.

Hazelnuts and cocoa are great for your skin, and your mental health. Giving you a better mood as well as vitamins that prevent aging.

Preparation

Place everything in the blender, blend till smooth.
